GuyWriters

GuyWriters is a community network for gay writers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our purpose is to celebrate and support literary creativity in the gay male community.

GuyWriters provides opportunities for members to develop new writing, access publishing resources, and meet other people in the literary world. We accomplish this by:

*Presenting published writers who discuss their work and careers;
*Hosting social gatherings that build community among gay writers;
*Facilitating writing groups for gay poets, prose writers and playwrights;
*Moderating an online social network to link gay writers across the country;
*Publishing an online literary magazine to spotlight our members' work;
*Distributing a monthly email newsletter about the literary scene; and
*Maintaining this website as a resource for promoting gay writing.

There are many ways for you to get involved with GuyWriters. You can:

*Attend or volunteer for one of our events or socials;
*Participate in one of the writing groups or member readings;
*Join our online social network on Facebook.com;
*Submit your literary, audio or visual artwork to GuyWritersMagazine.org;
*Sign up for our monthly newsletter by emailing us HERE;

GuyWriters welcomes writers of all ages and backgrounds working in all genres, including fiction, poetry, playwriting, screenwriting, journalism and criticism. Currently, our events and activities are free and no membership dues are required.
