09.30.10 | GuyWriters "Eat Our Shorts" is a success GuyWriters wrapped up four performances of "Eat Our Shorts" at the San Francisco Fringe Festival on Sept. 18. The GuyWriters Playwrights Group won several awards, including "Sold-Out" Awards. These awards recognize shows that sold out one or more of its shows. "Eat Our Shorts" sold out three of its four shows.
GuyWriters' Bob Hayden won the SF Fringe Volunteer Award, while Joshua Hardwick was honored for his work as stage manager of "Eat Our Shorts."
04.18.10 | GuyWriters Benefit for JOCHS Gay Straight Alliance on April 18th! GuyWriters will host a literary reading with special guest Chuck Forester as a benefit for the John O'Connell High School Gay Straight Alliance on April 18th. The reading will feature Eric Rose, Gabriel Lambert, Dennis Stratford, Vince Meis, Doug Henderson and Pete Kane as well as youth from the JOCHS Gay Straight Alliance. The JOCHS Theater is located at 2355 Folsom Street. Suggested donation is $5-10, no one turned away for lack of funds.
04.06.10 | Poetry Open Mic at Books, Inc. on April 6th! Dan Bellm will be the featured guest at our Poetry Open Mic on April 6th at 7:30 pm at Books, Inc. in the Castro, 2275 Market Street. In celebration of National Poetry Month, poets may read either their own work or that of their favorite poet. Readers should stop by early to sign up with Jay Siegel, the event organizer.
