 | An Evening with Peaches ChristGuyWriters will present “An Evening with Peaches Christ” on March 29th in San Francisco. On this special occasion, Joshua Grannell, the creator of Peaches Christ and curator of the outrageously popular Midnight Mass movie event, steps out of drag to give a rare behind-the-scenes look at his career as a writer, director and performer with a camp-punk-satire vision. Joshua will discuss his journey from being a shy queer college film major in rural Pennsylvania to his current creative heights in San Francisco where he works as a self-sustaining queer artist operating out of The Bridge movie theater. He’ll also give us the inside scoop on his new screenplay, currently in production in Hollywood.
“This is a story of creativity enriching the underdog,” says event organizer Matthew Graham Smith, “and of dedication to an unlikely aesthetic helping a queer kid achieve his dreams.” It's going to be a powerful event for writers and non-writers alike. Please join us.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 29, 7:30 p.m., at Magnet at 4122 18th St. in The Castro. Admission is free.
