 | GuyWriters Social with Michael LuongoGuyWriters will host a literary social with travel writer Michael Luongo, who will read and discuss his latest work, Gay Travels in the Muslim World. From partying with bikini-clad models on South America's most glamorous beaches to visiting Bin Laden's Tora Bora caves with Afghan warlords to poignant interviews in war-torn Baghdad, Mr. Luongo has enjoyed an extraordinary travel writing and photography career that has taken him to over 80 countries and all 7 continents.Based in New York City, Mr. Luongo directs the new Out in the World Series on gay and lesbian travel literature as a Senior Editor with Haworth Press, and he also teaches travel writing at New York University and the Gotham Writers Workshop. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, Conde Nast Traveler, National Geographic Traveler, the Advocate, Out Traveler, and Gay City News.
