 | Truong TranGuyWriters, the community network for gay male writers in the San Francisco Bay Area, is happy to announce its fall literary event, “An Evening with Poet Truong Tran.”
Author of five poetry books and winner of the 2002 San Francisco State Poetry Center Book Award, Truong Tran is a visual artist and children’s book author as well as university poetry teacher. He will read poems from his latest collection, Four Letter Words, and answer questions from the audience.
Fellow poet Elizabeth Robinson writes: “Truong Tran, a poet of probing inventiveness, plumbs the possibilities of confessional poetry as no one else can. In this book, he shows identity's 'cruel complexity melting on my tongue.' In his own, inimitable tongue, he speaks his grief, outrage, and faithfulness.”
All lovers of literature are invited to attend this free event on Friday, November 14th at 8:00 pm at MAGNET, located at 4122 18th Street at Castro in San Francisco. |
